Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using Skyline's website,
making a reservation, placing an order, or staying at our guest house. By accessing
our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Definitions
- "Skyline" refers to Skyline Buea, its management, staff, and operating entity located at Mayor Street, Buea, Cameroon.
- "Guest" refers to any individual who visits our premises, uses our website, makes a reservation, places an order, or books a room.
- "Services" refers to restaurant dining, snack bar, wine lounge, guest house accommodation, private events, and all related offerings.
- "Website" refers to skylinebuea.com and all associated web pages.
2. Use of Website
By using our website, you confirm that:
- You are at least 18 years of age, or using the website under parental/guardian supervision.
- You will not use the website for any unlawful or prohibited purpose.
- You will not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the website or its systems.
- All information you provide is accurate, current, and complete.
- You will not reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, or exploit any part of our website without express written permission from Skyline.
3. Restaurant & Dining Terms
3.1 Reservations
- Table reservations are accepted via our website contact form, WhatsApp, or phone call.
- Reservations are confirmed upon receipt of our WhatsApp or email confirmation message.
- We hold reserved tables for up to 15 minutes past the reserved time. After this, the table may be released.
- For groups of 8 or more, a deposit may be required to confirm the booking.
- Skyline reserves the right to decline reservations at its discretion.
3.2 Dining Policy
- Smart casual dress code is required. We reserve the right to refuse entry to guests who do not meet our dress standards.
- We operate a strict no-smoking policy inside the premises. A designated outdoor smoking area is available.
- Guests who are visibly intoxicated upon arrival may be refused service.
- Minimum age for alcohol consumption is 18 years. Valid ID may be requested.
- Outside food and beverages are not permitted on the premises.
- Prices are inclusive of applicable taxes. A 5% service charge is added to all bills.
3.3 Allergens & Dietary Requirements
- We take allergen management seriously. However, our kitchen handles all major allergens. We cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment.
- Guests with severe allergies must notify our staff before ordering.
- Skyline accepts no liability for allergic reactions where allergen information was not disclosed by the guest.
4. Online Orders
- Orders placed via our website are confirmed through WhatsApp by our team.
- Payment is accepted at the venue on delivery, or via agreed mobile money transfer.
- All prices displayed are in Central African Francs (XAF) and are inclusive of VAT where applicable.
- Skyline reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order at its discretion, with a full refund where applicable.
- Menu items are subject to availability. We will notify you promptly if an item is unavailable.
- Estimated preparation times are guidelines only and may vary during peak periods.
5. Wine Cellar & Alcohol Sales
- All wine and alcohol sales are subject to Cameroonian alcohol regulations.
- Alcohol is sold exclusively to individuals aged 18 years and over. Valid photo identification may be requested.
- All wine prices displayed include our sommelier service and cellar management costs.
- Wines are sold by the bottle or glass as indicated on our menu. Prices are non-negotiable.
- Purchased bottles may be taken off-premises. Opened bottles consumed on-site cannot be returned.
- We accept no liability for the quality of wine once it leaves our premises.
- Skyline reserves the right to decline the sale of alcohol to any guest at its discretion.
6. Guest House Booking Terms
6.1 Reservations & Confirmation
- Room bookings are confirmed via WhatsApp upon receipt of our confirmation message.
- A deposit of 30% of the total booking value may be required at time of confirmation.
- Bookings are not guaranteed until confirmation is received from Skyline.
6.2 Check-in & Check-out
- Standard check-in time: 2:00 PM. Early check-in is subject to room availability and may incur a surcharge.
- Standard check-out time: 12:00 PM (noon). Late check-out is subject to availability and charged at 50% of the nightly rate per hour.
- Valid photo identification (National ID, Passport, or Residence Permit) must be presented at check-in.
- A refundable security deposit may be required at check-in.
6.3 Cancellation Policy
- 72+ hours before arrival: Full refund of deposit.
- 24–72 hours before arrival: 50% of deposit refunded.
- Less than 24 hours or no-show: No refund. Full booking charge applies.
- Cancellations must be communicated in writing via email or WhatsApp.
6.4 Guest Conduct
- Guests are responsible for any damage caused to the room, furnishings, or facilities during their stay.
- Quiet hours are 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Excessive noise disturbing other guests is grounds for immediate eviction without refund.
- Smoking is strictly prohibited in all indoor areas. A cleaning surcharge of 25,000 XAF applies for in-room smoking.
- Pets are not permitted on the premises.
- Skyline reserves the right to refuse accommodation or request a guest to vacate in cases of misconduct, illegal activity, or behaviour that threatens the wellbeing of staff or other guests.
- Visitors are not permitted in guest rooms after 10:00 PM.
6.5 Liability
- Skyline is not liable for loss or theft of personal belongings. Use the in-room safe for valuables.
- Skyline is not responsible for failure to provide accommodation due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control (force majeure).
7. Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including text, images, logos, menus, graphics, and
design — is the intellectual property of Skyline Buea and is protected by applicable
copyright law. Reproduction, redistribution, or commercial use of any content without
prior written consent is strictly prohibited.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Skyline shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from use of our services.
- Technical errors, downtime, or unavailability of our website.
- Loss of data, reservation details, or personal information due to technical failure, provided reasonable security measures were in place.
- Any third-party services linked to from our website.
9. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws
of the Republic of Cameroon. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject
to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Buea, South West Region, Cameroon.
10. Changes to These Terms
Skyline reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time.
Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of
our services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
